Son­nie Ray Hood, age 69, of Bear Creek, Alabama, passed away Mon­day, March 9th, 2015.

He was born on June 11th, 1945, in Mar­ion, Co­un­ty, Alabama.

Visita­tion, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Wed­nesday, March 11th, 2015, at the Nic­hols Funer­al Home in Haleyvil­le, Alabama. Funeral ser­vice, 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, following visitation, at the funeral home. Bro. Mic­key Crane, of­ficiating. Buri­al in the Old Bet­hel Mis­siona­ry Bapt­ist Cemete­ry in the Wylie Branch Com­mun­ity.

Son­nie is sur­vived by his wife of 29 years, Ovalee Hood; 1 broth­er, Gary Wayne (Debra) Hood; and 1 sist­er, Wanda Fay Lawl­er.

He was pre­ceded in death by his parents, Eut­hel Orden and Eugie Pearl Hood; and 1 broth­er-in-law, Douglas Lawl­er.*
