HARTSELLE-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident has taken the life of a Somerville woman and sent a 10-year-old child to hospital with injuries:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:40 p.m. Sunday, September 20, has claimed the life Somerville woman.
Kathy D. Tennyson, 69, was critically injured when the 2016 Nissan Rogue she was driving left the roadway, struck a mailbox and then a culvert headwall. Tennyson was transported to Cullman Regional Medical Center – Hartselle Health Park ER, where she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.
A 10-year-old, who was a passenger in the Rogue, was also injured and transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.
The crash occurred on Alabama 36 near the 24 mile marker, approximately one mile east of Hartselle, in Morgan County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
