Mr. Skylar Aaron Holmes, 29 of Somerville, died Saturday December 23, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Holmes was born January 23, 1988 in Madison County to David Lee Holmes and Pamela Kay Morrison Holmes. He was a 2006 graduate of Brewer High School and previously worked in construction until he became disabled. Before his accident he enjoyed fishing, riding four wheelers, going to the gym, weight lifting, mudding and spending time with his friends hanging out in the field.
Mr. Holmes attended Calvary Church at Lacey’s Spring.
He is survived by his mother: Pam McKee, his father: David Lee Holmes; his sisters: Lauren McKee and Ivy Johnson and a brother: Nash Johnson; aunt and uncle: Elizabeth and Kenneth Duke; close cousins: Jacqueline and Lee Duke; special friends: Brittany Morrow Willis, Maddy Colbey, Brittney Jones Morris and Shirley Nelson. He was preceded in death by his step father: Michael Edward McKee; his grandparents: Edward and Fran Morrison and Homer and Earlene Holmes.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday December 28, 2017 at Morris Barn: 5286 Highway 36 East – Somerville Al 35670 with Pastor: Phil Lawrence, officiating. Burial will be in Morris Family Cemetery – Merrill Mtn in Grant with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Gothard, Larry Cooley, Cameron Sims, Nick Holtz, James Woodard and Thomas Haga.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday December 27, 2017 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City.
