MOUNT HOPE-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident has taken the life of a Russellville man near Mount Hope in Lawrence County:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 3:25 p.m. Monday, October 7, has claimed the life of a Russellville man.
Matthew L. Holt, 49, was fatally injured when the 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 that he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Holt was not using a seat belt at the time of crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Lawrence County 50 near Alabama 101, approximately two miles north of Mount Hope, in Lawrence County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
