Single-Vehicle Accident Takes Life Of Marion County Woman

BRILLIANT-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Reports a Single-Vehicle accident that has taken the life of a Brilliant woman who was sitting in the roadway:

“A single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 3:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, has claimed the life of a Brilliant woman.

The pedestrian, Tiffany L. Matlock, 30, who was sitting in the roadway, was fatally injured when she was struck by the 1996 Chevrolet C1500 driven by Anthony D. Acker, 53, of Brilliant. Matlock was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Alabama 233 near the 13 mile marker, approximately six miles northeast of Brilliant, in Marion County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
