Shoals MPE, parent company to Hearn Heating and Cooling, continues expansion
FLORENCE– Shoals MPE, LLC, parent company of Hearn
Plumbing, Tim Rhodes Electric and Hearn Heating and Air, has named Tim Hopson as
Service Manager. Hopson started his career in the heating and cooling business in 2000
and though he spent August 2011 – February 2013 in the fire and sprinkler industry, he
was enthusiastic about returning to HVAC when approached by Darren Rhodes, President
of Shoals MPE, to manage the Service Department.
“Tim comes to us with nearly a dozen years of experience in this field,” said Rhodes. “As
Service Manager, he will strengthen our service department with his operational
knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment toward our customers.”
Hopson will oversee the service techs, scheduling and customer satisfaction for not only
Mechanical, also known as heating and air, but also Shoals MPE’s plumbing and
electrical service departments. He has also been charged with growing the service
division and will work closely with other managers and the executive team.
“I have always felt that my customers respond well to me and I have always been
reachable to my customer’s day or night,” said Hopson. “I wasn’t looking to move back
to this industry, but when I was approached by Shoals MPE, it seemed like a good fit for
both of us and I am looking forward to the work and the challenges that come with the
work.”
Hopson was a technician in the field for 7 years and was promoted to contract sales for 4
years with another well-known HVAC company. Immediately prior to joining Shoals
MPE he was with Global Fire and Sprinkler and he currently resides in Florence,
Alabama, with his wife and two boys.
