Shoals Chamber Singers Present “This Is My Song” For Spring Concert

shoals chamber singersSHEFFIELD-The Shoals Chamber Singers Spring Concert will be “This is My Song.”  Dr. Jerry Olson, Jr. will be conducting and Karen Cantreel will be the accompanist with Martha Johnson serving as assistant conductor.  Selections for this concert will include:  “A Little Jazz Mass,” “Across the Vast, Eternal Sky,” “The Cloths of Heaven,”, “Cindy,” “Homeland,” “Music Down In My Soul,” and “For Good.”

The Shoals Chamber Singers are dedicated to bringing the high quality choral music literature to listeners in the Shoals and northern Alabama. This group of 25-28 auditioned members is made up of men and women who are trained in singing multi-voiced and multi-lingual music. The choir performs an eclectic array of literature extending back to the Renaissance and through the most contemporary idioms. Although the group sings literature from all periods their tendency is music from the American tradition.

There will be a special guest artists  performing with the Chamber Singers, Zack O’Bryant and Terry Richardson.
