The Jimmersons from Athens had an ambition to open a luxury tanning salon and decided that historic downtown Florence was the place to put it. Looking at the available properties they chose the building located at 110 S. Seminary Street as the perfect location. The building which dates back to the late 1800’s has a rich commercial history, having been the original bus station in Florence, a café, an apothecary and most recently the home of the City Shoe Shop.
The Jimmersons invested in the future of their business by improving both the inside and outside with a complete renovation while retaining the charm and aesthetics of a century old structure. One of the prominent features that the building was well known for and often referred to as the “most photographed doors” in the city of Florence were saved and given a place of prominence in the business.
Jennifer and Amanda have created a luxurious tanning salon utilizing state of the art tanning equipment with Sunless beds and personalized airbrush tanning. In addition, they also carry tanning products including lotions, moisturizers and bronzers that cannot be found anywhere else in the area.
With tanning package plans to fit anyone’s budget, Jennifer and Amanda are set to give you the best tanning experience available. In talking with Jennifer, she told us “Since we are so close to the UNA campus we wanted to do something special for the students, so we’re offering great student discounts.” She went on to say “we even installed a bike rack out front for any of the students (or anyone else) that wants to ride their bike to a tanning session.”
Since they are located in historic downtown Florence, Jennifer and Amanda also encourage owners and employees of downtown area businesses to come tan on their lunch breaks.
