RIPLEY – On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, surrounded by family, Shirlyn Marshall quietly relinquished her place on earth and gained her wings!

 

Shirlyn was born March 19, 1973 in Memphis, TN to Cassandra Story Johnson and Curtis Golden. She was a graduate of Ripley High School Class of 1991. She worked at Red Cap and Eco Water until illness would not allow her to continue. She was a member of the body of Christ and had dedicated her life to Him.

 

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Lashun L. Marshall of Ripley; a daughter, Miracle Rutherford of Oxford; her mother, Cassandra Johnson of Blue Mountain, MS; a sister, Jacqueline Story of Ripley, MS, and brother, Earnest Prewitt of Ripley; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and their friends; her aunt, Olivia Vance (Arthur) of Potts Camp; and best friends, Shantelle Edgeston and Sam Simpson.

 

She was preceded in her homegoing by her father, Curtis Golden; her brother, Julian Story; and aunt, Lisa Story.
