Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley W. Powers, age 71 are scheduled for 1 PM on Wednesday October 9, 2019 at Union Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Shirley passed away on Sunday October 6, 2019 in Lexington, TN. Born April 27, 1948 in Henderson County, TN. to the late Norman and Sally Teague Wright, Mrs. Powers was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church, retired from Johnson Control, and enjoyed cooking and family gatherings. Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, Mr. JD Powers, son, Dwight Powers (Stephanie), daughter, Jennifer (Bob) Mitchell, sister, Shelia (Dennie) Richardson, five grandchildren; Caitlin and Candice Mitchell, and Paige, Lilly, and Allie Powers, and a host of nieces and nephews.
