Mrs. Shirley Sue Cash Sweat, age 86, a resident of Brownsville, TN, passed away at her home on Sunday, January 16, 2022. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Brownsville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lonnie Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at the Trinity Cemetery in the Nutbush Community. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Brownsville Funeral Home Chapel. Sue was born on June 6, 1935, in Haywood County, TN to Arch and Ida Cash. She worked as a caregiver for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ross Sweat; one son, Jackie Sweat; three brothers, Johnny Cash, Larry Cash, and Henry Cash; one great-grandchild, Claiborne Baynes. She is survived by four sons, Donald Sweat of Milan, TN, Jimmy Sweat of Gadsden, TN, Joe Sweat of Brownsville, TN, Phillip Sweat of Bells, TN; two daughters, Lisa Rickman of Brownsville, TN; Wanda Harwell (Greg) of Brownsville, TN; one sister, Bertha Sweat of Brownsville, TN and a legacy of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers for the service are Andrew Scott, Jesse Scott, Dustin Sorrell, Brandon Blackwell, Zachary Day, DJ Casco, Anthony Simpson, Hunter Simpson and Jacob Phillips. Memorials may be given to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Group in Brownsville, TN.
