Shirley Shepard, age 85, of Gurley, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020. Shirley was born May 2, 1935 in Huntsville, Alabama to the late Elmer and Katie West. Mrs. Shepard is preceded in death by her sons James Lee Adams and Rickey Adams. Shirley was a member of Maysville Church of Christ. She retired from GTE with over 20 years of service. Shirley had a heart of gold taking care of anyone who was in need. She was and avid Alabama Football Fan. Shirley is survived by her husband of 40 years Jimmy Shepard, her children Sandra George and herhusband Stanley and Becky Tubb and her husband Greg; as well as 4 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Granddchildren. Visitation for Shirley will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel. Shirley will be Laid to Rest at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
