Shirley Mae Whited Nunn, 87 of Arab died Wednesday July 31, 2024, in Diversicare of Arab.
Mrs. Nunn was born Tuesday October 27, 1936, in Cullman County, Alabama, the daughter of Worthy Whited and Hazel Brown Whited. After completing High School, she continued her education earning her degree as an LPN and worked several years at what is now known as Cullman Regional Medical Center.
Shirley is survived by two brothers: Richard Whited (Pat) and Daniel Whited; a sister: Ann Smith; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends; she was preceded in death by her husband: James Gerald Nunn, her parents: Worthy and Hazel Whited and two brothers: Calvin and Bill Whited.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday August 3, 2024, at Gober Funeral Chapel, Brother Bobby Sims, officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Grove Cemetery near Holly Pond in Cullman County, Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
Pallbearers will be John Hamilton, Sam Hart, Rodney Lubert along with others to be selected and those names posted as they are made available to the funeral home.
Visitation for Mrs. Nunn will be from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. Saturday August 3, 2024, at Gober Funeral Chapel.
