A funeral service for Shirley Lynn “Veal” West, 80, of Eva, will be Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 7:00PM at Peck funeral home with Bro. Dewayne Harper officiating and Peck funeral home directing. Visitation will be from 5:00Pm to 7:00PM at the funeral home. Mrs. West was born on July 18, 1945 to Luby and Lena Veal in Cullman, Alabama. She died on September 26, 2025 at Hanceville nursing home.
Shirley was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to travel and spend time with her family. She was also a member of Macedonia Baptist church. Shirley west was preceded in death by her husband Loyd West, her parents, Two sisters Mozell Freeman and Wynell Jenkins, Three brothers Holen Veal, Billy Veal, and Ronald Veal, and a stepdaughter Lisa Phelps.
Survivors Include:
Son: Kenneth Arrington.
Three grandchildren: Elizabeth Wiltson, Derrick Arrington, and Amber Hughes.
Seven great grandchildren.
