shirleyShirley Johnson Sullivan, 54, of Decatur died November 22, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital/Decatur General Campus. Her funeral will be November 27, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Jackson Memory Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Courtland Cemetery. Public viewing will be today and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Shirley was born November 30, 1958, in Lawrence County to James and Lucille Johnson. She graduated from Courtland High School in 1977. After graduation, she entered the Military (Army), in which she served two years. She was employed at 3M for 14 years until health complications.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her parents, James and Lucille Johnson of North Courtland; husband, Edward Sullivan of Decatur; father-in-law, Ernest Sullivan of Dallas, Texas; one son, Lawrence Jacobs (Michelle) of Seattle Washington; daughters, Caressa Sullivan of Decatur; JaQuita Sullivan of Wichita, Kansas, and Danielle Sykes of Decatur; granddaughters, Macayla Webb of Decatur, Alia Wilson and Ariana Breckenridge of Wichita, Kansas; three sisters, Fay McIntosh (Keith) of Huntsville, Mattie Johnson and Carolyn Orr (Toby) of Courtland; two brothers-in-law, Steve Lewis of Wichita, Kansas, and Johnny Sullivan of Dallas, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Diana Yielder (Michael) of Crestview, Florida, Charissa Gilbert (Ken) of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Patricia Maholmes (Eric) of Virginia; special family friends, Patricia Roberts of Madison, Annie Owens and Tracine Austin of Hillsboro, Patricia Green of Athens; and special cousin, Olivia Hardin of Decatur.
