Shirley Jean Lewis, 65 of Ardmore, Alabama died on Sunday, February 8, 2015, at Athens-Limestone Hospital in Athens, Alabama.
Born Sunday, June 26, 1949 in Athens, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Niles Edward Claunch and the late Edna Louise Bond Claunch. She was a lifelong resident of the Ardmore area and a member of First Baptist Church. She was a dispatcher for the Ardmore Police Deptarment and loved everyone.
She is survived by: husband Jimmy Lewis of Ardmore, AL, son, John David Lewis of Ardmore, AL, sister, Marsha (Phillip) Rooker, mother-in-law: Mary Jane Lewis, and two brother-in-laws: Johnny & Karen Lewis and Edward Lewis, a slew of nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Lynn Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
