Shirley Faye Lockard Rucks, 86 of Hanceville, passed away Sunday July 2, 2023 at her residence.
Funeral services will be Thursday July 6, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. J.J. Creel will officiate. Burial will follow in Shanghi Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday night 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Lacy Lockard and Eria Mae Cash Lockard and siblings, Thomas J. Lockard, Vivian Hollis, Corky Lockard, Albert Prentice Lockard and Brenda Joyce Hogeland.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Billy Olen Rucks; daughter, Lacey Rucks Wilson and husband Douglas; grandson, Jonathan T. Wilson; sister, Judy A. Lockard (John Goldsmith); nieces and nephews, Phillip Hollis (Kathy), Billie Cameron, Jenny Whitlow (Lester), Thomas L. Lockard (Patricia), Larry J. Lockard, Ricky Lockard, Laura Lockard and Joshua Hogeland; great nieces and nephews, Jeff, Jeremy, Dawn, Patrick, Jason, Shane (Lacy), Matthew (Ashley), Tracey Davis (David), T.J. (Rachel), Corky Joe, Clayton, Amy, Deborah Drew (Mike), Grey Witt, Vince Quick (Susanne), Donna Cook, Bart Harris and Patrick Harris (Jana); many other relatives and a host of friends.
