Shirley Anne Clayton, age 84, of Summertown, TN passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at her residence. She was a native of Texas, a homemaker, a self-employed music teacher, and a member of Lawrenceburg Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was also a member of the Home Demonstration Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis B. and Anna Jones Henderson; her husband, Harry Dean Clayton; and one brother, Eugene Henderson.
She is survived by three children, Fred Clayton (Brenda) of Columbia, TN, Cindy Stafford of Summertown, TN, and David Clayton of Summertown, TN; four grandchildren, Melody Abbott (Dwayne), Jessica Thompson (Nathan), Kevin Clayton (Jordan), and Kyle Clayton (Amanda); and eleven great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, September 02, 2021, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Friday, September 03, 2021, with Jeff Smith officiating. Interment will follow at John Lay Cemetery in Ethridge, TN.
