Shirley Ann Lowery Forbus departed this life on August 25, 2016 at her home in Morris Chapel, TN at the age of 79 Years, 19 Days. She was born August 6, 1937 in Leesburg, FL the daughter of the late Frazier Evander Rowe and Mae Savorie. She was united in marriage to Henry Jack Forbus on October 28, 2002.
Mrs. Lowery Forbus was a retired CNA with Deaconess Homecare in Selmer, TN. She was a member of the Saltillo Church of Christ. Whoever Shirley came in contact with, they fell in love with her. She did not have any enemies. If anybody was Christ like, Mrs. Shirley certainly was.
She is survived by her husband Henry Jack Forbus of Morris Chapel, TN; three daughters, Debbie Jenkins Smith and husband Mitchell of Daytona Beach, FL, Stephanie Denise Jenkins Pickett and husband Benny of Finger, TN, Laressa Ann Jenkins of Adamsville, TN; a son, Christopher Dale Jenkins and wife Melana of Fort Pierce, FL,; stepson, Jeffrey Scott Forbus; eleven grandchildren, Stephanie Hubbard, Jason Hurd and wife Kristi, Ashley Wade and husband Matthew, Jamie Brown, Jessica Newton, Tammy Carter and husband Lonnie, Moriah Jenkins, Bethany Jenkins, Caleb Jenkins, Cherity Jenkins, Eden Jenkins; ten great grandchildren, Landon Waldrop, Ashton Waldrop, Braxton Waldrop, Garrett Brown, Mallory Pickett Pickle, Ryan Townsend, Jewel Carter, Hannah Hurd, Cassidy Hurd, Bean Hurd; three brothers, Gary Rowe, Larry Rowe, Jerald Rowe; a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs Lowery Forbus was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Renee Jenkins; a son, Charles Doyle “Coon or Junior” Jenkins, Jr.; a grandchild, Derek Allen Pickett; a sister, Virginia Harris; five brothers, Hugh Rowe, Wallace Rowe, Melvin Davidson, John Davidson, Donald Davidson.
