Shirley Ann Johnson, 71, of Decatur, Alabama passed away October 19, 2018 with her family by her side.
She was born to the late Leo and Sarah Burt, April 15, 1947 in Decatur. Shirley graduated from Lakeside High School in 1965. Upon graduation, she began a career with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and retired after 33 years.
A loving mother and friend with an infectious sense of humor and an inviting personality, who went above and beyond to help others. Her spirit will live on through her surviving son, Lyndon (Hallie); grandson, Ricky; three great-grandchildren, Jaylin, Myles and Hallie; and a host of extended family and friends from all walks of life.
Visitation will begin Friday, October 26, 2018 at Sharpley Funeral Home from 5 to 6 p.m. The Homegoing celebration will be on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Kings Memorial United Methodist Chuch, 702 McCartney Street NW, Decatur.
