Age 82 of Goodlettsville went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at her daughter’s home. She was born May 27, 1938 in Springfield, TN to Cleo and Blanche Whitler Edison. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She enjoyed feeding the hummingbirds, working in her yard and fishing. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was known for her delicious chocolate pies. She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Edward William Vanderpool; second husband, Albert Cothran; sons, Robert Vanderpool and Eddie Vanderpool; grandson, E.W. Vanderpool; sister, Barbara Fay Akin; brothers, Eddie Gene Edison and Sherman Edison. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Vanderpool, Goodlettsville, TN; daughter, Sue Goodman (Robert Allen), Gallatin, TN; brothers, Bill Edison, Greenville, CS and Bobby Edison, Huntsville, AL; 1 granddaughter, Elissa Paulson; 4 great-grandchildren, Abigail, Kay Lee, Annabella and Jon Luc. Funeral service is scheduled for Monday, April 26, 2021 at 1pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Clay Baggett officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.Visitation is planned for Sunday, April 25, 2021 4-8pm and Monday, April 26, 2021 10am until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
