Sheryl Stubbs, age 65, passed away on January 9th at Crestwood Hospital. She was a loving sister, aunt, and daughter. She was the caretaker for her dad until he passed away in 2018 and for her mom until she became ill. Sheryl was born in El Paso, Texas to Lt. Hal Stubbs and Grace Morris Stubbs. Being in the Army, the family moved to Maryland, Kansas, Virginia, and Kwajalein Marshall Islands, with a few assignments back in Alabama in between.

Sheryl graduated from Butler High School in 1976 and then went on to further her education at the University of Alabama. She was a student-athlete and member of the golf team. She received her BS in Marketing and continued on to earn her Master’s degree, also in Marketing. Sheryl attended Mayfair Church of Christ and her passions included golf, researching family history, and cheering on her Crimson Tide.

Sheryl is preceded in death by her father, (Ret.) Colonel Hal Stubbs. She is survived by her mother, Grace Stubbs; her brother, Cameron (Beth); and her sister, Dawn Enright (Brian), both living in Georgia; 3 nieces; 2 nephews; and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
