Sherry Ann Sandlin, aged 63, of Ardmore, passed away on Thursday, February 5th, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born on August 25th, 1962, in Athens, Alabama, to the late Edward and Shirley (Johnson) Tarpley.
Sherry was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She leaves behind a legacy of love and family, surviving through her cherished sons: James Nick Sandlin and wife Elizabeth, and Grant Sandlin and wife Tiffany. Her legacy continues through her adored grandchildren: Cora Grace, Remy Jo, Ramsey Claire, and James Hatcher.
Sherry was sister to Selina Greene and husband Greg, as well as to her brothers Wayne Tarpley and wife Ellen, and Larry Tarpley and wife Dee. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her kindness and warmth.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Shirley Tarpley, and her sister, Sabrina Tarpley.
Funeral services for Sherry Sandlin will be Monday, February 9th, 2026, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, at 2:00 p.m., with Adam Mikel officiating. Visitation will be Monday, from 12:00 to 1:45 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
