Sherry Ann Brown, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, 78, passed away at her residence April 9th, 2024. She was surrounded by her immediate family in her final hours.

Sherry was born November 30th, 1945, in Poplar Bluff Mo. She was a proud homemaker. She enjoyed expressing herself in the art of counted cross-stitch. She decorated her home and gifted loved ones with her art. Her handiwork will be treasured for generations to come.

Sherry and Paul were high school sweethearts. They both received their diplomas in 1963, side by side. On October 17, 1964, they were married, side by side. They have remained side by side and because of their faith in our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, they will be reunited in eternity, side by side.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Buck and Vera Nicholson of Fisk, MO, and her brother Gary Nicholson, also of Fisk, MO.

She is survived by her daughter, Hollie Brown-Smith, of Florence, AL and son, Paul “David” II (Pamela) of Endicott, NY. Sister Joyce Schunk of Fisk, MO, and Boyce “Bob” Nicholson of Byhalia, MS; grandchildren Paul (Mariah) Brown, Jessica (Tyler) McAndrew, Charlie (Kelli) Smith, Abigail Smith, Audrey Brown, Cody Brown and Jacob Brown. Great grandchildren Amalia and Gabriel Brown and Reagan McAndrew.

Visitation will be Monday April 15th 2024 from 10-11:00 a.m. at Highland Baptist Church in Florence with services to immediately follow. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Park. The family would like to express their gratitude to Enhabit Home Health and Hospice for their loving and faithful care through her courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The National Parkinson Foundation, (www.parkinson.org) an organization through which Paul and Sherry found comfort and guidance.
