Funeral services for Sherri Smith Hudson of Hanceville, Alabama will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 7th at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Trueman Davis will be officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 6th at Hanceville Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hudson was born on September 30, 1962 to Melvin Clyde and Martha (Walker) Smith. She died at the age of 59 on November 3, 2021 at Brookwood Medical Center in Homewood. Mrs. Hudson’s passion in life was tending to her family and helping children in all walks of life. She and her husband fostered children for over 20 years. The love and compassion she’s shown to all those who knew her will be cherished forever.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne Hudson; children, Jacob (Jackie) Hudson, Joey Hudson, James Hudson, Zach Hudson, Alex Hudson, Serah Hudson and Isaiah Hudson; granddaughter, Kaydence Hudson; and uncle, Ronnie Walker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers; and a host of aunts and uncles.
