Mr. Sherrel Calvin Humphries, age 84, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Marshall Medical Center North.
Mr. Humphries was born in Cullman, Alabama on September 22, 1935. Mr. Humphries proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Sherrell graduated from Ryan High School and later worked as a machinist at Ameincole in Cullman, Alabama where he retired after 36 dedicated years. He enjoyed Gardening, outdoor activities and rabbit hunting with his pride and joy, Spot.
Mr. Humphries is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bonnie Faye Head Humphries; sons, Mark Humphries, Terry Humphries (Renee) and Roger Humphries; 7 granddaughters and 1 grandson; 7 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Joy Stewart.
Proceeding Mr. Humphries in death are his beloved parents, Boyce Hoyt Humphries and Emmie Doris Snow Humphries; sister, Emmie Dot Bolzle; and brother, Mike Tyance Humphries.
Pallbearers assisting with the service will include: Mark Humphries, Terry Humphries, Roger Humphries, Bruce Albright, Kenan Warren and Darrel Wilson.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 15, 2020 from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
We request that all service attendees continue to participate in social distancing and stay at least 6 feet apart at all times.
Services for Mr. Humphries will be held at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. and burial following at the Hebron Church of Christ with Ronald Earwood, officiating.
