Memorial service for Sherman E. Tate age 91 of Hartselle will be Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 6:00pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Blackmon officiating.
Mr. Tate, who died on Saturday, July 23, 2016 in Hartselle, was born June 10, 1925 in Trezevant, Tennessee to Curtis E. Tate and Mary Haskins Tate. He was a World War II Veteran and retired from Redstone Arsenal Army Missile Command as an Aerospace Engineer. He was a longtime member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of Deacons for many years. Later in his life he moved his membership to East Highland Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife; Ann Tate and a brother; Curtis E. Tate.
