Shelby Jean Mitchell, age 74, of Killen, died Monday, June 24, 2013. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Tony Chaney officiating. Burial following in Shaw Cemetery.
Mrs. Mitchell was a native of Colbert County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Alice Watson; brother, Melvin Leon Watson; sisters, Bertha Lane Thrasher and Lucy Watson.
Survivors include her husband, Lois Mitchell of Killen; son, Junior Mitchell (Tracye) of Anderson; daughters, Connie Albright (Billy), Shelia Mitchell, both of Florence, Cathy Burross (Tim) of Killen; brother Chris Watson of Littleville; sisters, Sharon Watson Lawrence of Leighton, Joan Dale Gower of Florence, Darlene Woods of Waterloo, twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Kyle Mitchell, Kevin Mitchell, Corey Albright, Caleb Albright, Darryl Johnson, Sebuh Torian, David Fleming, Kendrick Goodloe and Jeremiah Holland.
