Shelby Jean Beavers, age 77, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015, at home after an extended illness. She was a native of Lauderdale County, Alabama, a homemaker and a member of Centerhill Church of Christ. Funeral Services will be held at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at 2 p.m. Greg Dial will be officiating. Burial will follow in Centerhill Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at Loretto Memorial Chapel.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin Reed Beavers, Lexington, Alabama; son, Tim Beavers, Lexington, Alabama; daughter, Debbie Collier, Lexington, Alabama; brother, Arthur Ray Davis, Greenhill, Alabama; four sisters, Betty Johnston, Annette Peden, Faye Springer and Peggy Chamblin, all of Killen, Alabama; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur “Pee Wee” and Virgie Lou Wright Davis, and two brothers, Leon and Royce Davis.
Loretto Memorial Chapel, Loretto, Tennessee is in charge of all arrangements.
