Shelby Howe age 81 of Guin, AL passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, AL.
Born February 27, 1938 in Hamilton, AL she is the daughter of the late Roy and Ola Mae Harper Atkinson and the wife of Don Howe. She had lived in Guin most of her life, was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Methodist Women, En Avant Study Club, and helped in Santa’s Workshop. She had retired from Tombigbee Electric Coop after working 54 years.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Don Howe, 3 Sons, Randy, (Kim) Howe and Benjie Howe all of Guin, AL, and Tommy (Janine) Howe of Winfield, AL, A Brother, Lawrence Atkinson and a Niece, Karen Atkinson and Nephew Brian Atkinson all of Guin, AL. 4 Grandchildren, Whitney, Courtney, Kelli and Joey, 2 Great Grandchildren, Nash Hunsinger and Liam Atkinson.
Services held Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 2:00 pm from the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Guin City Cemetery. Rev. Belinda Freeman officiating.
