Funeral service for Shelby Damon “Buck” McCulloch, age 81, of Decatur, will be Friday, June 7, 2019, 4:00 p.m. at Central Park Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Matt Haines and Rev. Dr. Jackie Kay officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service. Interment will be in Napps Cemetery.
Mr. McCulloch, who died Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born December 8, 1937, in Morgan County, to John Dewey McCulloch and Persia Lee Brothers McCulloch. He was a plant superintendent for Fruehauf Corporation.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue Stephenson McCulloch of Decatur; three sons, Jeff McCulloch (Cindy), Patrick McCulloch (Cathleen), and Stephen McCulloch (Wendy), all of Decatur; one daughter, Sheila Flynn of Decatur; one brother, Lucian McCulloch of Decatur; one sister, Betty Millwood of Decatur; eight grandchildren, Erin White (Adam), John Flynn, Caleb McCulloch, Matthew McCulloch, Shelby McCulloch, Katelyn McCulloch, Leah McCulloch, and Rylee McCulloch; and one great-grandchild, Addi White.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and John Eyster, Jr., Mack McCulloch, and Adam White. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Stovall-Fields-Glaze Sunday School class at Central Park Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to the Youth and Music Department of Central Park Baptist Church.
