Shela Brakefield Wales, 74 of Elkmont, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 17th, 2022, at her residence after a lengthy illness. Ms. Wales was born on Easter Weekend, March 27th, 1948, to Walter Lee and Ruby Spence Brakefield.
Ms. Wales is survived by her daughter Wendy Reeves (John); son Michael Wales (Sharon); son Matthew Wales (Mairim); grandchild Claire Reeves; and first cousins Milton Looney, Mary Frances Wilbanks, Janice Spence, and Grady Spence; and Sharon Wales’s brother Alan Torrontor.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services for Ms. Wales will be Sunday, April 24th, 2022, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
