Sheila M. (LaBar) Williams passed away on Saturday, 8 March 2025 at her home in Monteagle, Tennessee with her husband by her side.
Sheila was age 74 when she succumbed to cancer after a 12 year battle.
Sheila was born on 14 August 1950 in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania to Walter & Rose LaBar. She spent her childhood in Portland, Pennsylvania with her Mother & Father along with a Brother Jim & Wesley (deceased).
Sheila leaves behind her husband (Larry), her Brother (Jim) and his wife Joann, along with many nieces and nephews.
Sheila graduated from Bangor Area High School in 1968 where she lettered in Field Hockey and Basketball she also attended Northampton County Community College.
Sheila accepted her first position at Bear Automotive later to become the SPX Corporation as a Clerk. In future years she was to become the Human Resources Manager for the Corporation in both Bangor, Pennsylvania and in Angola, Indiana. Sheila retired to Monteagle, Tennessee in 1999 after 31 plus years with the Corporation.
Sheila met her future husband (Sergeant Major Larry E. William, US Army/ Retired) in the 7th grade, began dating him in the 11th Grade, they courted for 5 years then married on 6 October 1973 at the St.
Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Portland, Pennsylvania by Father India.
Sheila served as the Franklin County Federated Republican Women Club President for over 10 years, held membership with the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Chapter # 327, and was a Volunteer with numerous Military Organizations along with her Husband.
Sheila will be missed so very much by her Dear Husband of 51 years, 5 months and 2 days.
