Sheila Fosnight-Hargrove, 71, of Bodenham, TN, passed away on August 4, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN.

Sheila was born on September 28, 1953, in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. She retired after more than 40 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and was a devoted member of Choates Creek United Methodist Church. Sheila was also known for her deep love for animals, always surrounded by the many rescue pets she affectionately called “The Crew.”

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Marian Fosnight, also of Bodenham, TN, and her brother-in-law Michael Chapman (husband of Alice Chapman) of Madison, AL.

A determined fighter, Sheila battled an aggressive form of cancer. She was first diagnosed in 2019 and bravely went into remission. Unfortunately, in October 2024, the cancer returned, more aggressive than before, and ultimately took her life.

Sheila’s father, Roy Fosnight Sr., retired as a Master Sergeant in the United States Army. His career took the family around the world, including to New Jersey, Germany, and Japan, before settling on the family farm in Bodenham in 1969.

Sheila is survived by her son, Andrew Hargrove and husband Jordan Progar of Savannah, GA; her brother, Roy Fosnight Jr. and wife Anita Fosnight, of Harvest, AL; her sister, Alice Chapman; and her sister Sandra Norwood and partner Jeral of Madison, AL, along with many several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held on August 16th 2025 at Choates Creek United Methodist Church in Lawrenceburg, TN. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, followed by a dedication service at 2:00 PM.
