SHEFFIELD– Colbert County Tourism is excited to promote the Sheffield Trolley Tours, a two-hour
ride led by local historian Jimmy Austin.
‘”We’re always happy when people in our community show interest in our history,” says Susann Hamlin,
President and CEO of Colbert County Tourism. “These tours not only bring visitors to town but also
highlight what makes our community a great place to live. The pride we see in our locals inspires others,
and we’re excited to share this opportunity with folks eager to experience Sheffield.”
The November tours, scheduled for November 3 and November 17, will explore the historic homes and
landmarks along North Montgomery Avenue. These tours begin at 2 p.m. from Sheffield City Hall.
Tickets are $15 and available at the Sheffield Public Library.
To celebrate the season, the December tours—set for December 8 and December 15—will highlight
Sheffield’s holiday decor, giving guests a festive look at the city’s charm. Tickets for the December tours
are also $15 and available at the Sheffield Public Library. Seating is limited for all dates, so early booking
is encouraged.
“We’ve had so many people express interest in experiencing Sheffield’s history, especially during the
holidays,”shares Jimmy Austin. “The trolley tours offer an inclusive way for everyone to connect with
the city’s past, whether it’s seeing the historic homes in the fall or admiring their beautiful Christmas
decorations. It’s a meaningful way to see Sheffield in a new light.”
Colbert County Tourism invites you to join Jimmy Austin on the Sheffield Trolley Tours to explore the
city’s history and seasonal decor through engaging stories and insider details that bring Sheffield’s story
to life.
