SHEFFIELD – So… Anybody who has ever attended the Springtime annual Sheffield Street Parties knows that David Johnson can put on a show. That’s an understatement. They’re always great. But this year’s event was particularly special. There was great music all through the evening on Montgomery Avenue. Things were kick started by The Fiddleworms… Then the afterburners were lit by Wet Willie, the latest inductees into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame featuring Jimmy Hall. At that point, just when you’d think it couldn’t get any better… The crowd pretty much stayed on its feet the entire time the Marshall Tucker Band was on stage. By the time the music ended and attendees started heading to their cars, the afterglow in the crowd was palpable.

The Quad-Cities Daily, one of the Sponsors of the Street Party, was on hand taking event photos. And we present them here. Take a look! And make a promise to yourself to get to next year’s event.
