FLORENCE-ALEA reports a traffic accident involving two vehicles resulting in the death of a Colbert County Man on Friday evening, March 31.
The accident occurred around 5:30 PM on Friday on Alabama 20 west of Florence. Mark Edward Horton, 45 of Sheffield was killed in the accident.
ALEA report Horton was driving a Mazda truck that collided with a van. Emergency personnel responded and Horton was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities report two people in the van were injured and taken to Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence. Their names and conditions were not available late Friday.
The accident remains under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
