Shawn Ray Beard, age 46, a resident of Linden, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Shawn was born on September 16, 1977, in Dade, Florida. He dedicated his career to serving as a bucket truck operator for Morton’s Tree Service. Known for his friendly and approachable nature, Shawn was a people person who found joy in connecting with others and cherished his time spent outdoors. Alongside his wife, Cynthia, he shared a passion for running Invader Game Foul, creating cherished memories together. Above all, Shawn’s greatest joy was spending quality time with his family, particularly his beloved grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Beard; devoted sons, Alex Smith, Mark Smith, and David Robertson; caring daughters, Brittany Beard and Paisley Smith; supportive sisters, Deborah (Reginald) Smith, Melissa (Arthur) Gonzalez, and Crystal (Celso) Ruiz; brothers, Mark Morton, John Nelson, Jamie Nelson, and Steve Dickson; cherished grandchildren, Thomas Estes, Ariella Smith, and Arabella Pearson, and nieces and nephews, Markisha Buchanan, Marcus (Hannah) Beard, De-Ana Smith, Nikki Tidwell, Cory Tidwell, and seven great nieces and nephews.
Shawn was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Schoolcraft.
