Mrs. Juanita Rose Sturdivant Gray, age 89 of Lexington, passed away on February 20, 2024. Services will be held at the Elkins East Chapel at 1pm with visitation starting at 11am. Burial will follow at Moulton City Cemetery. Elkins East Chapel is assisting the family.

Mrs. Gray was an incredibly sweet and caring woman. She could light up a room by simply being in it. She liked sewing, cooking, and gardening, and was a great singer. She also made the best chicken stew you could ever have. She is the last surviving member of 17 siblings.

Mrs. Gray was a devoted Christian and a member of the Hickory Flat Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Joey Gray (Nancy), and Chris Gray (Katrina); and her daughter, Allison Gifford (Greg); grandchildren, Gregg Gray (Erin), Lauren Lee (David), Kaitie Hampton (Matt), Rachel Gray, and Sarah Gray; and great-grandchildren, Bryant and Tyson Gray, Levi, Sawyer and Ava Hampton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Steven Sturdivant and Drucilla Boatright; her husband, Joe Benjamin Gray; son, Buddy Gray (Denise); and a daughter, Lisa Thomason (Rick).
