Sharron O’Hara Blair, 88, of Glencoe, formerly of Mentone, Alabama, passed away February 16, 2025 at her home. She was born January 31, 1931 in Glens Falls, New York, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Eileen Graves O’Hara. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Lawrence and Earl O’Hara and Doretta Whalen.
Sharron attended St. Mary’s and Glens Falls High School before entering the United States Air Force in July 1955 and serving until July 1958. She worked for Verizon Telephone and retired in 1991. She also worked from Glens Falls National Bank for seven years.
Sharron loved camping with her sister, niece, and great-nephew and loved to play golf and basketball.
Funeral Mass will be 3 p.m. Monday, February 24th at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Fort Payne, Alabama. The family will receive friends at Our Lady of the Valley from 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. hour of service. She will later be interred in St. Mary’s Cemetery in South Glens Falls, New York beside her parents.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
