Sharon Ruth Appleton age 62 of Athens, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013 at Athens-Limestone Hospital. Mrs. Appleton was born December 20, 1950 in Limestone County to James Hagermaker and Dalma Ann Fudge.
Services for Mrs. Appleton are Monday, August 5, 2013 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be Monday, August 5, 2013 from 1:00 until 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens with Odis Duncan officiating.
She was a member of Mt. Carmel Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband Joe Appleton; daughter, Amanda Thompson; granddaughter, Lacey Thompson; parents Gilbert and Dalma Ann George; aunt, Ruby Reece; several nieces and nephews; several God children.
She is preceded in death by one brother, Danny George; father Jim Hagermaker.
Pallbearers are Mike Garlen, Nathan Craig, Heath George, Barry Jones, Chris Putman and Troy McNeese.
