Sharon McLemore Byars, age 77, of Homewood passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023 at her residence. She worked at K Mart for 52 years, and loved to garden and decorate the house. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, April 17, 2023 at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial at McCormack Cemetery. Bro. Hollis Alexander will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Elmore and Mae Bell McLemore; and brother, James E. McLemore. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Mack M. Byars; son, Bryan Michael Byars; sister-in-law, Janice McLemore; nephews, Steven McLemore and John McLemore (Holly); and a host of great nieces and nephews.
