It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Hames Lay of Decatur, Alabama, who passed away on September 11, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband Terry Lay; her parents, Katherine Adcock Hames and Harold Randall Hames; her sisters, Joann Hames Pepper, Kathy Hames Moses and Vickie Sue Hames Sims; and her son Jason Lay (Felicia). She was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 14th 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Westmeade Baptist Church (2030 Beltline Rd SW, Decatur, AL 35601). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 14th 2020 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
