Sharon Guthrie Usery, 74 of Elkmont, passed away on Monday, January 6th, 2025, at her residence. Ms. Usery was born on August 2nd, 1950, in Tullahoma, Tennessee, to William Guthrie, Sr. and Eunice Vining Guthrie.
Ms. Usery is survived by her children Joey Usery (Lindsey) and Nikki Usery; grandchildren Justin Usery (Alex) and Brooklyn Elmore; great-grandchildren Samuel and Elizabeth Usery; siblings Curtis “Laverne” Guthrie (Shirley), Susan Holt, Barbara Hemphill (Tommy), Sheila McKnight (Pete), Daryl Guthrie, and Phyllis Spencer (William); sister-in-law Wanda Guthrie; and lots of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings William “Billy” Guthrie, Jr., Carolyn McGlocklin, Loyd “Wayne” Guthrie, Janice Gooch, and Hollis Guthrie.
Funeral services for Ms. Usery will be Thursday, January 9th, 2025, at 2:00pm, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Steve Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:30am to 1:45pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Reunion Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wesley Guthrie, Chris Spencer, Ricky Gooch, Chad Spencer, Heath Guthrie, and Joey Usery.
Ms. Usery was a member of Elkmont Church of Christ. She loved being outdoors, working in her flowerbeds, gardening, and enjoyed watching hummingbirds. She enjoyed reading and especially playing cards on the weekend with her siblings. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
