Sharon Faye DuckworthSharon Faye Sharp Duckworth, 71, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, while vacationing in Florida.

She was born in Scottsboro, Alabama to Edna and Clarence Sharp.  She graduated in 1970 from Woodville High School.

Sharon married her husband, James E. Duckworth, in 1971.  She was a wonderful wife and faithful ministry helpmate for 52 years.

Sharon leaves behind her daughters, Elesha (Brant) Maynard, and Crystal (Braxton) Reno, and nine grandchildren, Dakota, Gavin, Parker, Paisley, Reese, Julieta, Jude, Jake, and Milo, brother, Junior (Ann) Sharp, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of special friends.

Sharon had the gift of hospitality, dedication to the behind-the-scenes tasks, and love for people.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Clarence Sharp, her six sisters, and one brother.  She loved and was loved by her in-laws, the late Rev. and Mrs. L.S. Duckworth.

Visitation for Mrs. Duckworth will be held Thursday, February 1, from 5 pm- 7 pm at Life Church Huntsville.  The funeral service will follow at 7 pm with Pastor Kevin McGlamery officiating.  The graveside service is Friday, February 2, at 10 am at Gold Cemetery in Woodville. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Smoky Mountain Children’s Home, Sevierville, TN.
