Graveside service for Sharon Christie Wallace, 67, of Decatur, will be today, May 10, 2014, at 2:15 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with Pastor Tony Collins officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wallace, who died Thursday, May 8, 2014, at her residence, was born May 25, 1946, in Mobile to Robert E. Pittman and Lucille Kilgore Pittman. She was very active at Cornerstone Church in Moulton. She loved serving her family and friends and was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Pittman; and special cousin, Barbara Reed.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Johnie Wallace; one son, Dwayne “Scooter” Brewington (Pam); two daughters, Shelley Styles (Robbie) and Michelle Maples (Dale); six grandchildren, Payton Letson, Brandon Brown, Wyatt Brewington, Ivey Letson, Avery Maples and Zac Brewington; two stepgrandchildren, Lauren Shrider and Blake Styles; and four great-grandchildren, Raylee Brown, Amiya Farris, Brooklyn Shrider and Chloe Shrider.
Pallbearers will be Wyatt Brewington, Avery Maples, Dale Maples, Chuck Stafford, Adrian Cothren and Tyler Stafford.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
