Sharon Blackwelder was born on April 11, 1950 in Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Herby and Clarcie Franks.
She retired from the Department of Human Services, where she had worked as a social worker for approximately 26 years. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Savannah, Tennessee, and also a former chairman of the Salvation Army, and she enjoyed traveling and seeing new places.
She departed this life on Wednesday September 9, 2015 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 65 years, 4 months, and 29 days.
She is survived by her daughter, April Blackwelder Mitchell and her husband Chris of Jackson, Tennessee, and two grandchildren, Emily and Alli Mitchell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Franks.
