sharonSharen Lee Cannella Bolton, 68, died peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2015 in Decatur after a long struggle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was born September 4, 1946, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the daughter of Joseph Dominique Cannella and Beulah Evelyn Danner.
In 1969, Sharen married Ronald R. Bolton with whom they raised two daughters Rhonda “Rene” Williams of Trussville and Laura Leigh Davis of Decatur. The family moved to Decatur from Indianapolis, IN in 1989 with Ron’s job transfer with Chrysler Corporation. Sharen was employed by Cook’s Pest Control for 18 years. Sharen loved her family, especially her grandchildren, but most of all, she loved the Lord and was a devout Christian. She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God. She enjoyed volunteering time to multiple charities and community ministry projects including the Dream Center.
Sharen is survived by her husband, Ron, of 45 years; her daughter, Rene, and her husband, Scott, and their two children, Ava and Carson Williams, her daughter, Laura, and her husband, Chris Davis; her sister, Rose Marie, and her husband, Robert, Petty, TX; her brothers, Richard and his wife, Avis Cannella, NC and Charles Cannella, CO; and a number of other relatives and close friends.
A time of gathering with the family will be Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home.
