MUSCLE SHOALS–BREAKING NEWS: An unidentified man who is affiliated with the Highland Park Baptist Church, located at 501 West 6th Street in Muscle Shoals, has been arrested. Charges are pending the outcome of an investigation into alleged criminal sexual misconduct with young people at the church. The man is currently being held in the Muscle Shoals City Jail.
Sources say the suspect is expected to transferred to the Colbert County Jail when formal charges are rendered at that time with the Colbert County District Attorneys Office.
According to a highly placed confidential source, more than one person from the congregation has come forward with accusations against the man.
