DECATUR-The Decatur Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit has been investigating drug activity at 1214 22nd Ave. SW. The investigation resulted in the arrest of seven suspects.
The Decatur Police Department released this statement:
“SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:
During the previous months of 2016 Investigators with the Decatur Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit received complaints concerning possible illegal drug activity that occurred at 1214 22nd Ave SW in Decatur Alabama. Investigators identified multiple suspects that were distributing crack cocaine and marijuana from the residence.
On April 22, 2016 members of the Special Operations Division executed a search warrant at 1214 22nd Ave. Upon arrival Officers located several subjects at the residence. During the search Investigators located a quantity of cocaine, marijuana, and drug sale paraphernalia. Officers also located a stolen firearm that was previously reported stolen from the Colbert County Sheriff’s Department.
The following suspects were arrested and their charges and bonds are listed:
Thomas Tucker III, Illegal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Pistol, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Tucker III was booked at the Decatur City Jail and transferred to the Morgan County Jail with a $5,500.00 bond. No further charges are expected from the possession of the stolen firearm.
Lathomas D. Tucker, 2 counts of Illegal Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Illegal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Tucker was booked at the Decatur City Jail and transferred to the Morgan County Jail with a $13,500.00 bond.
Martez Jackson, 2 counts of Illegal Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, and Loitering; Jackson was booked at the Decatur City Jail and transferred to the Morgan County Jail with an $11,000.00 bond.
Lyquita Harris, Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and Loitering, $1,000.00 bond.
Zachary Mitchell, Loitering, $500.00 bond.
Timothy Newman, Loitering, $500.00 bond.
Tina Stanley, Loitering, $500.00 bond. Stanley will be held in the Decatur City Jail concerning an active felony warrant with the Athens Police Department.”
